The shunter is based at the FGW depot at Long Rock and is used to shunt the sleeper coaches between the depot and the station (if you don't see it at the depot, try the station).

When approaching Penzance, leave the A30 at the roundabout with the A394 and take the third exit signposted to Long Rock. Follow this road until you see a level crossing before the depot on the left. Turn over the level crossing and park in the car park (you may have to pay). Follow the coastal footpath along the railway towards Penzance.

On the other side of the depot is an industrial estate from which it may be possible to get a photo of the shunter if it is not clearly visible form the coastal footpath. Go back over the level crossing, turn left passing the depot entrance, and left again into the industrial estate.

The shunter should be visible from trains going into Penzance station on the right-hand side.
