Crewe LNWR works (also known as the Carriage Depot) is about half-a-mile south of Crewe station and is visible from trains to Stafford. Travelling from Crewe to Stafford, after passing the Diesel Depot on your right, look to your left to view the LNWR depot and yard. (Immediately after having passed LNWR on the train, you should then look to your right to view Basford Hall.)

Partial views of the other side of the depot can also be had froms trains on the Alsager line - look to your right after you leave Crewe station.

Viewing from the train would appear to be the only way to view LNWR.
