The shunter is at the Imerys (previously ECC) works in the village of Bugle, about 5 miles south west of Bodmin.

From the A30 south west of Bodmin, take the A391 south to Bugle. When in Bugle turn left at the traffic lights, and the entrance to the Imerys works is on the left along this road. There is a reception building at the entrance, but this doesn’t appear to be manned, and there appears to be no problem with driving into the works. Follow the road all the way down to the railway (follow the one-way system) where the shunter can usually be seen. However, it can at times be out of sight behind the far end of the works.

Alternatively, the shunter can usually be seen from the Par to Newquay train. Note that this is an infrequent service, and at the weekend does not stop at Bugle itself. The works is on the left-hand side when travelling from Par, and is between Luxulyan and Bugle stations.
