Accuracy of Information: Information is provided in good faith and I cannot be held responsible for anyone failing to find or see specific shunters. Shunters can be hidden behind wagons, get taken away for exams, etc., and you should hope – not expect – to see what you are looking for when you visit a particular site. Any feedback either confirming the accuracy of the directions, or providing clearer or more accurate information, will be most welcome.

Trespass: in some directions, reference is made to driveways or entrances to yards, depots etc, which from a certain point onwards become railway property. Directions to depot/site entrances are given because there is still, despite the heightened focus on safety and security, the odd instance of individuals asking for, and being granted, permission to view depots/sites. However, trespassing on the railway is a serious offence, and these directions are not meant to encourage any trespass whatsoever. In fact, by giving as much information as possible about public vantage points, the intention is to reduce any temptation there might be to trespass. Should any directions on this website have inadvertently not recognised the correct boundary between public and private property, please notify me immediately so that the information can be corrected.

Last Report date: In order to help identify how recently a specific shunter was last seen in the specified location, a Last Report date is given for each shunter listed. Where the date is absent or the date listed is not recent, it doesn't mean that the shunter is no longer there, or that no-one has seen it there recently - merely that I am not aware of any recent report of it being present. Please report your sightings using the interactive forum, and/or continue to use Yahoo Groups/Shuntergen, Locoscene, etc..
